Being Bad Never Sounded So Good

Amy Winehouse is bringing sex, drugs and rock ‘n roll back to… jazz? This mesmerizingly sultry voice comes from the pint sized, beehived bad ass with ever so soulful eyes. When asked about her many tattoos in an article for The Sun she stated "I like pin-up girls. I’m more of a boy than a girl. I’m not a lesbian, though — not before a Sambuca anyway." Whether you applaud or condemn any of her vices you can’t deny her absolute talent.

Her newest release, Back to Black is reported to be a chronicle of her time apart from now husband Blake. Having gone three times platinum in the UK, not surprising from her home turf but also reaching gold and platinum in countries around the world, she is a force to be reckoned with. Sales were fueled by critical acclaim from the singles Rehab, You Know I’m No Good and the title track Back to Black.

Amy does not hide her personal issues, but rather, in her own fuck all style, lays them out as is. I find that this true to life message and the 1950/1960’s throwback style, make this album nothing but irresistible. Just grab a gin & tonic and enjoy.
